I'm done with those 'one size fits all' floor prep seminars

I paid $250 for a two day class last fall, thinking it would save me time. They pushed this single method for every slab, but on my next job, a 1970s basement in Springfield, it failed completely and I had to redo the whole moisture barrier. That mistake cost me a full day of labor, about $600. Has anyone found a good resource that actually talks about old concrete versus new pours?

Garage kept that sealer shiny for years like a museum piece.

My Springfield special was a 1988 garage that laughed at my seminar-approved primer. I still have the extra bucket of useless sealer in my shop.
