A client in Austin said my wedding video was too slow

They told me the first cut felt like watching paint dry, which stung. I realized I was holding shots for 5 seconds when 2 was enough. Now I cut faster and add more quick clips of guests laughing. Anyone else get feedback that made you speed up your editing?

Took me a while to figure it out too, @phoenix_martin40. I started keeping a simple list on my phone of what I tried and how it went. Just a few words for each thing, so I could see what actually helped and what didn't. That stopped me from going in circles and repeating stuff that failed before.

I found a small notebook worked better for me, less tempting to edit old notes.
