My old phone's camera made my cat look like a blurry potato

I mean, I was using a Galaxy S9 for years and thought the pics were fine, but then I borrowed my friend's Pixel 7 for a day. The difference is crazy, like my cat went from a fuzzy brown blob to having every single whisker clear. I didn't realize how much I was missing until I saw a side-by-side shot from my backyard. Anyone else have a gadget that seemed okay until you tried something newer?

Oh man, that's the worst. I held onto an old phone for ages and swore the camera was good enough. Then you see a photo from a newer model and it's like your whole life was being filmed through a greasy lens. You don't even know what you're missing until you see the side by side. It makes all your old pictures feel like sad little memories of a blurry past.

Actually kind of love the vibe of older phone photos though. They feel more real, less perfect. Like a memory instead of an ad.
