Three years in and my back is begging for a break

Ngl, I'm paying for all those hours at the bench with serious back pain.

Honestly, that pain might just be your body adjusting to a stronger posture from all the focused work. Some pros say pushing through builds real toughness you can't get anywhere else. The key could be your setup, not the actual bench time. Maybe that ache is a sign of progress, not a reason to quit.

That point @jade_shah79 made about setup is key, I remember reading something similar. An article I saw said pushing through minor aches can build real toughness, but only if your form is correct. If the pain sticks around or gets worse, it might mean your setup needs tweaking. So listening to your body is important, even when trying to get better. From my own experience, adjusting my chair and screen height helped a lot with back pain.

But what if that pain is actually a warning sign? Pushing through might lead to real injury, not toughness. Listening to your body should mean stopping when it hurts.

My buddy blew out his knee ignoring that exact warning.
