My weird choice at the grocery store last Tuesday

I was at the store, and I had to pick between two identical boxes of cereal on the shelf. They were the same brand, same flavor, everything. I grabbed the one on the left. When I got home, I opened it and found the prize inside was a toy car, which was cool. But the weird part is, my friend bought the same cereal from the same store the next day, and he swears his box had a sticker sheet, not a car. The company's website says they only packed one type of prize for that batch. So, did I get a box from a different run, or did something just shift? Has anyone else had a thing like this happen with packaged food?

Honestly, your friend probably just misremembered what prize he got. People mix up small details like that all the time. The company website is way more reliable than someone's memory of a sticker sheet.

My buddy swore he won a bike, but the contest flyer just listed a cheap water bottle.

Hold on, the flyer listed the water bottle. That's the official prize. But maybe the company messed up and sent the wrong thing? I've seen contests where the wrong prize gets shipped out. Could be a warehouse error, not his memory. Wouldn't you be sure if you got a bike versus a water bottle? That's a pretty big mix-up for the company to make, but it happens.
