My client's 8-year-old daughter said my logo looked 'sad' and now I can't unsee it.

Kids have a weird talent for pointing out the accidental faces in things. Your logo might have a hidden frowny face in the negative space or the line work. Might be worth a quiet check with some other kids to see if it's a common read before you panic.

My nephew told me my old car looked like a grumpy toad. He was right about the headlights, and I could never look at it the same way again. Ended up trading it in a month later because the feeling stuck.

Sarahpark's take is too cautious. Sometimes you need to lean into the accidental character. That grumpy toad car had personality. You could have named it and made it a feature, not a bug. Plenty of brands use friendly mascots that started as design quirks. A kid seeing a face means it's memorable, which is half the battle.

Remember how the VW Beetle got its nickname?
