TIL a trick for taming cowlicks on a client from Chicago

I used a tiny bit of pomade on damp hair before blow drying, and it actually held the direction all day. Anyone have a different method for stubborn ones?

Yeah exactly, tell them you're from Chicago too. I do that all the time when I'm traveling. It's like an instant connection, even if you're from different parts of the city. You start talking about neighborhoods or the best hot dog spot and suddenly you're not strangers anymore. It works way better than just saying you're from the same state. Have you found that too?

Hey @fionac33, read something once about how shared hometowns make people feel safe right away. Totally makes sense with the Chicago thing... like you skip all the small talk.

Read an article that said shared local details trigger memory and trust way faster. Like Chicago hot dog talk hits different than just saying Illinois. It gives you a real picture to share, not just a fact.
