That split tube problem is way more common than it should be. The real issue isn't the seal, it's the cheap plastic they use that gets brittle. I've seen it happen with a few different brands straight off the shelf. Your best bet is to transfer the paste into a small, sturdy plastic jar as soon as you buy it. Saves the mess and you won't waste the product.

inFilming a festival in Austin made me rethink my whole gear setup
Totally get where Jake is coming from, used to pack way too much myself. Then I got stuck on a site where my smaller drill just wouldn't cut it, wasted half a day. Now I'd rather have the right power on hand even if I don't use it every time. What do you do when your usual gear isn't enough?
