inAppreciation post: From trusting my gut to using computer checks on every job
Ever get so used to the GPS you forget how to read a map? That's what josephhenderson is talking about with speed, and he's not wrong. But if my truck's computer fails and I never learned the old way, I'm just a guy lost on the interstate staring at a blank screen. The machine makes sure you're right, but doing it slow first shows you why you were right. Otherwise you're just hitting buttons and trusting something you don't get.

inWatching pennies for a down payment changed how I see time
That's so true what @ryanc71 said... skipping the little stuff each day adds up to a big win, which makes the wait feel worth it in the end.

inA stranger got angry at me for taking a picture of a building
Guess everyone forgot that half the planet has a camera in their pocket already. Phones, doorbells, dash cams. If someone wants to case a place, they don't need to stand there holding a big obvious one. The jumpiness just feels like theater. Makes people feel like they're doing something, I guess.
