inPSA: I make my students learn off-hand work before using jacks.
Man, that reminds me of a stretch of road in Idaho. Drove it for years thinking it was just empty fields. Then one fall I saw the harvest. Whole place was crawling with potato trucks. @lee18, sometimes you gotta see the thing from the ground to get it. Changed my whole view on that state. Some stuff just needs a closer look.

inPSA: New coders might be hurting their progress by skipping basics
Was it tough for him to figure out where to begin with the Discord bot? I've seen friends try the same thing, and they often say that solving real problems makes the code make more sense. When you're just reading tutorials, it's easy to forget, but when you need a feature to work, you remember how to do it. Plus, finishing a project gives you a boost to keep learning instead of getting stuck on theory. Do you know if he used any specific resources to get started, or did he just dive in?

inQuestion about the boom in pre-chopped vegetables at grocery stores
Actually, I just read an article that touched on this. It said that with more people working long hours, pre-cut veggies are a time-saver. To me, it's not that people are cooking less from scratch, but they're using help to get dinner on the table faster. We still want to eat real food, but we need ways to make it work with busy lives. That's why these products are everywhere, even if they cost more. It's a clear sign of how our daily routines have changed.

inEveryone PREACHES open sharing of ferments, but I WON'T give my ginger bug recipe away after it was copied. Am I the BAD guy?
