inQuestion about using a 1.5 inch vs a 2 inch blow hose for a recent project
The 2 inch hose is better for big pieces because it moves more air with less effort. You get finer control over bubble size without blowing your lungs out. Stick with the larger hose for anything over a foot tall.

inUpdate: Took a leap and switched departments, best move I EVER made!
Have you ever considered that maybe it's just about paying attention? I don't see it as some big plan, you just notice who people listen to and how things really work. If you don't pick up on that stuff, you end up making dumb mistakes or slowing everyone down. It's not about being intense, it's about not being clueless. For some jobs, learning the ropes is just part of showing up. Calling it wild makes it sound way harder than it actually is.

inStruggling to find gyms that don't require yearly contracts on the road
Yeah the yearly contract thing is a huge pain when you're never in one place. Try looking for gyms that sell day passes, a lot of the bigger chains do that now. The YMCA can be good too, they often have national membership deals. It's crazy how the whole system still acts like everyone lives in one town forever.

inAfter seeing carpets in Istanbul, I'm done with standard padding
After ten years with foam padding, my antique rug started to flatten out. Wilson.lee's point about horsehair bounce really changed my view on this.
