Had to choose between a 3/4 inch plywood box or solid poplar for a built-in bookcase last month, went with the plywood.

Unpopular opinion: I think that comedian's apology video after the old tweets resurfaced felt more like damage control than a real change of heart.

It's like when a big company does something bad and just writes a check, @anthonynelson.

I finally stopped using my old paper manuals after the shop laptop got a direct hit from a coolant leak in 2021.

I was the same until my manual got soaked.

Looking back at how I used to find answers before this place

Wait, you spent FOUR HOURS on a dashboard rattle? That's brutal. I once tried to follow a blog tutorial to make my own screen cleaner. It told me to use vinegar and I totally messed up my monitor. The screen had streaks for weeks. Another time I watched a 45 minute video on fixing a wobbly table, and the guy didn't even show the final step. This place saves my sanity for real.

I finally saw a working forge at the old blacksmith shop in Lancaster

Wait, but a screwdriver is using your hands too though. It's just a different tool.

Vent: The day I cut a water line under a floating floor

Honestly that copper pipe was probably a code violation if it was just buried under a floating floor with no protection. The real problem is whoever did the original plumbing install, not your tool. In a lot of older downtown condos, the mechanical work is a total hack job that you can't plan for. Your cleanup sounds pretty standard, three hours with a shop vac is actually a decent result for a surprise flood.
