Tool's last album finally came out after 13 years, and honestly, the hype made it hard to just enjoy the songs. I spent so long waiting that every note felt like it had to be perfect, which kinda ruined it. It's like the delay built up this imaginary version in my head that the real thing couldn't match. Sometimes I wish they'd just release stuff when it's ready without all the buildup.
