So I mixed a bit of jojoba oil into my clay mask for a dry skin client...
She came in last week with skin that was both flaky and had some redness. I was worried the clay would be too harsh, so I added maybe a quarter teaspoon of jojoba to a normal scoop of my usual green clay. Left it on for 8 minutes instead of 10. It didn't dry rock hard like normal, and when I wiped it off, her skin looked calm and felt soft, not tight at all. I guess the oil stopped the clay from pulling out too much moisture. Has anyone else tried tweaking a drying mask like this for sensitive or dry types? What did you use?
