Showerthought: I just logged my 1,000th hour on a high-pressure vessel job in Philly and the number hit me harder than I expected.

Oh it's no joke at all. I've seen guys get super weird about their gear, especially the hat. It's like a comfort thing, a ritual. You don't mess with it because when you're up that high, any little bit of confidence helps. That Cincinnati story probably has a wild ending.
