Watched a TikTok cleaning trend fizzle out in just 6 weeks
So back in March I remember seeing this specific cleaning method blow up on my feed. Everyone was using dish soap and white vinegar on their grout with a stiff brush, and it looked amazing in the before/after clips. Fast forward to June and I barely saw a single video about it anymore. I'm wondering if people just got tired of scrubbing for 20 minutes or if the results didn't hold up long term. Did anyone else try it and stick with it, or did you drop it after a few tries too?

Saw that trend too and honestly I think the grout thing works fine for a deep clean but it's just not sustainable as a weekly routine lol. I tried it on my kitchen floor and while the initial results were great, the grout started looking dingy again within like 2 weeks. Most people probably realized it's a lot of elbow grease for something that doesn't stay looking perfect unless you keep doing it constantly, so they just moved on to the next shiny thing on their feed.

Is it just me or does nobody actually reseal their grout after they clean it?

Does anyone else feel kinda burned out by how fast cleaning trends come and go now? I tried that exact grout thing back in April and was so excited after the first scrub, my kitchen looked amazing for like a whole weekend. But by the next week the grout was already looking grey again and I just didn't have it in me to spend another half hour on my hands and knees with that brush. It's tough because the before/after videos make it look like a magic fix, but real life grout just needs way more maintenance unless you seal it or something.
