Frozen vs. fresh Brussels sprouts in the air fryer - my big experiment

I made two batches last night, one frozen and one fresh, and honestly I'm shocked that the frozen ones came out way crispier with less effort. Has anyone else had better luck with frozen veggies over fresh in the air fryer?

My buddy tried this exact thing last week with frozen cauliflower and fresh. He swore the frozen ones came out like restaurant quality crispy in half the time while the fresh ones just took too long and got dried out on the edges. His girlfriend actually liked the frozen ones better because they were softer inside but had that perfect crunch outside. Now he's buying bags of frozen broccoli and mixing them with fresh carrots to save time. Kinda makes me wonder if we've been overcomplicating veggies this whole time. What's the next frozen vs fresh test you'd want to run?

Did I just waste my whole life blanching and drying fresh sprouts?

Hold up, I gotta disagree hard here. Fresh sprouts are way better if you know what you're doing. Frozen ones get that crispy exterior but the inside turns mushy and watery, like a sad little sponge. With fresh, you can cut them in half, toss them in oil and garlic, and air fry them at 400 for 12-15 minutes and they come out perfectly roasted all the way through, firm on the inside. Plus fresh ones actually taste sweet and nutty instead of that frozen blandness. I've done this like 20 times, fresh always wins.
