Had to pick a new keypad for a tricky spot in a 1980s house
The owner wanted a keypad by the garage door, but the only spot was this weird slanted wall next to the old fuse box. I was stuck between running new wire for a hardwired unit or just slapping up a wireless one. Went with the hardwired install, and after an hour of fishing cable through some tight studs, it looks super clean and works perfect. Anyone have a go-to wireless model they trust for spots where you just can't run wire?

Super clean" for a garage keypad seems like overkill to me.

Have you ever tried to punch in a code with greasy hands after working on your car? A clean keypad is the difference between getting in right away and standing there wiping buttons on your jeans. It's not about being fancy, it's about basic function. Dirt and grime can make buttons stick or not register a press at all. Keeping it clean is just practical.

Wipe it with a dry cloth after you use it.
