Unpopular opinion: I think we're all overcomplicating keypad placement.
Three years ago in a new build in Scottsdale, the plans called for the keypad right by the front door. I put it on the wall opposite the door instead, about eight feet away. The homeowner called last week to say it's the single best thing about the system because they can disarm without being in the line of sight from the porch. Has anyone else tried moving it off the obvious wall?

We did a similar install in a Tempe condo last year. The client wanted the keypad tucked around the corner in the kitchen entryway. They love the privacy it gives them when someone is at the door. That small change really makes the system feel more secure.

Yeah, that "out of sight" thing is a game changer.
