Dropped $200 on a viral trending audio pack that totally flopped

I bought this "viral sound kit" from some Instagram influencer who claimed it was algorithm-proof and would boost my reach. Paid $200 for 50 audio clips that turned out to be generic beats you can find on free sites. Has anyone else gotten burned by those paid resources that promise to game the algorithm?

Man, @quinnm77 nailed it... that preview always sounds way better than what you actually get. Sucks you got burned too.

My sister spent like $150 on a "pro mixing template" from some YouTube guy and it was just a bunch of off-beat loops that sounded like they were recorded in a bathroom... she could've downloaded free stuff from that one site we all used back in high school. Now she just uses those $5 sample packs from Bandlab and calls it a day.

oh man that hurts to read... i know exactly the kind of "pro template" she got, the ones where the kick drum hits like a wet paper bag and everything's just slightly out of sync. those youtube guys always make it look so legit in the preview too... i fell for a similar thing years ago, spent like $80 on some "professional" drum kit pack and it was literally just stock sounds with a filter on them. at least your sister figured out the Bandlab route, those $5 packs are actually solid for messing around.
