Warning: I dropped $50 on a 'viral boost' package for a post about my store's new tool line and it got me 10k views but zero actual sales, lol.

Has anyone else seen these engagement packages actually work for anything beyond just empty numbers?

Totally feel that, man. Did the same thing last year for a video I made. Blew up my view count but my comment section was just bots and people asking for shoutouts. It felt super fake and empty after the first day. Those numbers look cool on a screen but they don't click or buy anything. You end up paying for a crowd that just walks right past your actual stuff. Seems like the only thing that really gets boosted is the seller's bank account, right?

Yeah exactly, @maxl93. It's like paying for a ghost town. You get a thousand views but maybe three real comments. Saw a guy in a music group buy 10k followers, his post about a new song got zero actual listens or shares. Just a bunch of egg profile pics saying "nice." So what's the plan after that? You're stuck with dead numbers that scare off real people who check your page.

My buddy runs a small landscaping page and bought 2k followers last spring. His posts started getting buried because the algorithm saw all those fake accounts never actually liking or sharing his real content. He had to start a whole new page from scratch.
