At the Anime Expo panel, a fan's question about spoilers changed how I talk about shows
I was at a big panel in Los Angeles last year for a new series. A person stood up and asked the creator to please not reveal a key plot point, saying 'I want to find out with everyone else.' The whole room went quiet, and the creator agreed. Now, when I post in threads, I always think about that moment and use spoiler tags for everything, even old shows. Does anyone else have a rule they follow to keep discussions fresh for new viewers?

Wish everyone online had that same respect.

Remember when forums had that vibe, before everything got so loud.

Heard a podcast say respect online starts with how we talk to strangers, @xena582. Makes you wonder, right?

Totally get what you mean. It feels like the basic idea of just being decent got lost somewhere. I miss when you could have a simple talk without someone trying to win an argument. Maybe it's just me but that old forum vibe was a lot nicer.
