My friend told me my anime tier lists were boring because I just ranked the popular shows

They said 'you only talk about the big three, try something from the 90s like 'Now and Then, Here and There'. I swapped my whole list for pre-2000 hidden gems. Anyone else get pushed to watch older anime?

Oh totally! I see this with music all the time, where people only stream the top hits. It's like we get stuck in this loop of what's new and popular. Finding those older, weirder shows feels like digging up real treasure everyone forgot about.

My first deep dive was on the old "Mission Hill" wiki. I spent a whole Saturday reading character backstories that never made it to air. It explained so many weird background jokes. That led me to a fan site with storyboard art for unaired episodes. Finding that stuff makes the show feel bigger than what got broadcast.
