inJust read that a worn chain can stretch over half an inch in 100 links, found it in an old Park Tool manual
Half an inch on a hundred links is just wild to picture. That's like every single pin and roller being totally shot. I bet that thing would skip over a brand new cassette like crazy. You would have felt that just pedaling around the block.

inUpdate: I gave up on my usual way to cut thick, curly hair
Well, at least we're not fighting over the official rules for what counts as a sandwich.

inChanged my tune on that old 'just add more additive' fix for a rough idle on a 6.7 Powerstroke after it made my injector balance rates go haywire.
Sometimes those cleaners just loosen up gunk that was barely hanging on. It might have been on its way out already, and the cleaner just sped things up. A rough idle can mean a lot of things, not always a stuck injector. It's a cheap thing to try before dropping real money on parts and labor.

inSaw a 1920s floor in an old Tacoma library that made me think
Manual nailer, huh? How much longer does that process take compared to a pneumatic gun, and is the extra time a big part of what makes it feel different?

inFinally got the hang of cutting those tiny subway tile corners
Honestly, I was the same with my first backsplash, just hacking away. Tbh, a cheap angle guide for the wet saw changed everything for me too.
