PSA: I spent $400 on a refrigerant scale and it's a total game changer

I always thought my old charging by pressure method was fine, especially for residential units. Then I had a string of three callbacks in a week for underperforming systems. My buddy lent me his digital scale for a job on a tricky mini-split, and the charge was perfect on the first try. I bought the same model, the Yellow Jacket 42004, and it paid for itself in two months just from saved time and gas. No more guessing or coming back. Anyone else find a specific tool that cut down on repeat visits?

Read that in a trade magazine, right?

Yeah, that scale is a lifesaver. My old method wasted so much time.

Hannahcraig had a good point about trade magazines being a solid source. That scale seems like it cuts out a ton of busywork. Glad you found a better system.
