Hit 50 client referrals in one quarter and still don't buy the hype about referral programs

Everyone says referral programs are the best way to grow a B2B service business, but I hit 50 referrals last quarter just by being reliable and showing up on time. Most of those referrals came from one guy at a logistics firm in Phoenix who never even used the formal program. Has anyone else seen bigger returns from just doing good work than from setting up fancy incentives?

That one guy at the logistics firm" is probably the best marketing you'll ever get, no question. But I think you're kinda mixing up "not needing a program" with "programs being useless." Your 50 referrals are proof you're doing something right, but a good referral program could have turned that one guy into a few more like him.

Nah, hard work beats fancy programs every time.

Oh absolutely @amyh12, because nothing says "hard work" like manually chasing down every single referral instead of letting a system do it for you. Sounds like a real timesaver.
