Remember when we used to fax purchase orders?

I was at a trade show in Chicago about 15 years ago, watching a vendor struggle with a jammed fax machine. A guy next to me just pulled out his phone, took a picture of his order form, and emailed it. That simple act made me realize our whole office process was outdated. We switched to digital forms within a month. Does anyone else have a moment that finally pushed them to ditch an old business habit?

That moment with the fax machine is so familiar... it's funny how one small thing can make you see the whole problem. What was the biggest pushback you got from your team when you tried to switch everything over? I remember some people in our office just refused to let go of their paper calendars, even when the whole system was online.

I read an article that called it the "paper cliff," where people just can't make the mental jump to digital.

Well, @ericw93, the real fight was over the printed phone directory.
