Tried a cheap CRM for my cleaning crew and it actually saved me 6 hours a week

I run a small commercial cleaning business in Austin and always used spreadsheets to track client jobs. Last month I got tired of double booking so I threw $30 at a simple CRM called Jobber. Set it up in one afternoon and now my guys get automatic texts for their routes instead of me calling them. The whole thing was way easier than I thought and I don't miss messing with Excel at all. Has anyone else found a cheap tool that actually worked better than the expensive ones?

Wait, Jobber isn't a CRM. It's actually a field service management software that does scheduling, invoicing, and dispatching. A CRM would be more like Salesforce or HubSpot where you track leads and customer interactions. I used Jobber for my landscaping business for a year and loved it for route planning and automated reminders, but it didn't really help me manage sales leads or follow ups. The automatic text thing is great though, that feature alone probably saves you way more than 6 hours if you were calling everyone manually. Just wanted to point that out so you don't confuse people looking for an actual CRM tool.

Jenny, you're totally right about Jobber not being a CRM. But here's something I noticed - a lot of smaller trades businesses don't even need a full CRM like Salesforce. The scheduling and invoicing in Jobber basically handles most of their customer history anyway. Might be worth mentioning for anyone running a one-man shop.

@hannah_west39 is right about Jobber being solid for scheduling but its not really a CRM like Salesforce is.
