Thought I'd try that new clipper oil everyone is talking about, big mistake

Picked up a bottle of that fancy clipper oil from the supply store in Phoenix last week. Figured it'd be smoother than the cheap stuff I usually grab. Day two of using it, my Wahl Magic Clip started bogging down halfway through a taper. Learned the hard way that some oils are too thin and gum up the blades after a few cuts. Anyone else run into an oil that wrecked their clippers?

Oh man, that's rough! I've been cutting my own hair for years and never thought oil could be the problem. What brand was it exactly? I'm curious because I've been using the pink bottle stuff from the beauty supply and haven't had issues, but now I'm worried I might be next.

Girl that pink bottle stuff wrecked my ends something awful. Took me months of trims to get back to normal, so you might wanna test a tiny spot first.

Yeah the thing is not all pink bottles are the same even if they look identical. Some brands cut corners with cheap mineral oil that just sits on top of your hair and clogs things up. I had the same problem with a brand called something like "Silk Dreams" or whatever, stripped my color too. Best advice I got was to check the ingredients list first. If you see lots of silicones near the top that's a red flag. Test it on a single strand before you go all in. Saved my hair from another disaster.
