A 6 year old Reddit thread calling out a mess like Fyre Festival isn't really impressive. Reddit's full of random predictions that happen to hit by luck. That same site probably has threads predicting aliens landing next Tuesday or some stock going to the moon. People forget the thousands of wrong guesses that get buried.

Come on man. That thread wasn't some random "stock to the moon" guess. It went into details about fake luxury tents, cold meals, and no water. That's not a lucky shot, that's someone who knew how these influencer-backed events really worked inside out. Most of those wrong predictions you're talking about are just vague "something bad will happen" posts. This one was a blueprint.

Wait, hold on. A 6 year old thread? That means it was made in what, 2011 or 2012, way before any of that Fyre Festival stuff even started? Someone actually sat down and typed out all the specific ways an event like that could fall apart, including the VIP promises being lies and the whole influencer marketing mess, years before Billy McFarland even thought of it? That kind of detail isn't just a lucky guess, that's someone who really understood how badly a lot of these overhyped startup events were being run behind the scenes.
