That customer who insisted his chain was fine after 4000 miles...

Had a guy come in last month with a chain so stretched it skipped on every gear. He told me he'd only replaced it once in 10 years. I showed him the wear with a chain checker and he still argued with me for 20 minutes before finally letting me swap it. Has anyone else had a customer fight basic maintenance that hard?
