My entire weekend binge plan fell apart when my streaming service crashed on Friday night.

I had a whole lineup ready, starting with the new season of 'Shining Girls'. The app went down at 8 PM and didn't come back until almost midnight. Spent an hour trying to restart my router before I admitted defeat. My backup plan was just staring at my own reflection in the dark TV screen.

My router needs a full 10 minute unplug to reset properly, anthonynelson. That dark screen reflection time is underrated though.

My old router needed exactly 7 minutes unplugged, like clockwork. @violag80 has the right idea with that full 10 minute wait. The real trick is finding something to do with your hands during that dead time so you don't just sit there. I started keeping a book next to the modem shelf for exactly this. That dark screen stare is a special kind of modern boredom, makes you feel like a caveman looking at a shiny rock.
