Hit exactly 999 upvotes on a glitch video and it stalled there for 3 days

I posted a clip of a news anchor's green screen failing mid-broadcast and it stopped at 999 upvotes like the universe hit pause, has anyone else had a karma count freeze on a round number like that?

yo @the_oliver nailed it with that "universe hiting pause" thing. 999 is basically the internet trolling you, like it wants you to feel the pain of being one vote off from a perfect meme number. i had a post freeze at 666 once and it sat there for two days before anyone else upvoted. at least your glitch vid probably had people refreshing the page just to see if it would flip to 1k.

haha man that's brutal, 999 is like the universe's way of saying "close but no cigar." I've had a post freeze at 420 once and it felt like the internet was mocking me personally. At least your glitch vid was probably funny enough to deserve the attention, mine was just a picture of my cat looking confused.

Wait, is 999 the new cursed number or something? I had a buddy who caught a screenshot of his post stuck on 777 for a whole day and he swore the universe was messing with him. He even tried refreshing the page like five times before giving up and just calling it a lucky charm. @colethomas probably knows the feeling all too well with that 666 post, like the internet's playing favorites with specific numbers or something. It's wild how a random freeze can make you feel like you're in some digital sitcom where the universe is the main character.
