My live stream crashed right during a big moment and I lost 200 viewers
I was streaming a game last Friday night and right when I hit a major boss fight my OBS software just froze, then the whole stream went black for like 4 minutes before I could get it back. Turns out my graphics driver had a memory leak glitch that I never caught in testing, and by the time I fixed it most of my regulars had left. Has anyone else had a software glitch kill their viewer count at the worst possible time?

@amyh12 actually it's usually a fixable cache issue not a permanent driver glitch.

Three years back I worked at a print shop and every single month like clockwork a new "critical" paper jam code would pop up on the wide format printers. Turns out the dust from the regular maintenance built up in the same spot and caused the same sensor misread every time. Nobody ever wanted to just clean it out because the manual said to replace a whole part instead... So it's the same thing with these driver errors I swear. People chase these big scary solutions when it's something simple like a cache or a sensor that just needs a wipe.

Ngl that exact same thing happened to me during a big raid boss fight on Destiny 2 and I lost like 150 regulars in the time it took my stream to come back. The bug was a memory leak in my Nvidia drivers that I had no idea about until after the damage was done. It took weeks to rebuild that viewer count and I still get annoyed thinking about it.
