Used to make all my board game inserts from foam core, now I just use cardboard scraps from old boxes.
I spent like 3 years cutting foam core for every game I owned, but after I moved last summer and half my custom inserts got crushed anyway, I gave up on that. Now I just cut down the cardboard from games I sold or donated and make simple dividers in under 10 minutes. Am I the only one who got tired of the fancy organizer game?

Alright, who else here has thrown their back out trying to fix a foam core insert that shifted during a game night? I definitely have. I moved to just using random cardboard from old shipping boxes and honestly, my games are no worse off. The best part is when your homemade divider starts to sag and you just shrug and make another one in like 30 seconds. My collection looks like a recycling bin exploded on the shelf but it works and it's way less stressful.

Wait, you actually made me reconsider my whole foam core obsession...

Ha honestly the real win is how fast you can spot a game when the box is held together with tape and the insert is just random cardboard flaps!
