A book club member told me I summarize too much and it changed how I lead discussions
Last month in my mystery book club, Sarah said I always jump to giving away the plot twists before people can talk about clues. I started asking open questions like 'what did you notice about the setting?' instead of recapping chapters. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you adjust how you run your book talks?

@evan543 I quit summaries cold turkey and now just ask one question to kick things off.

Honestly, I used to be the same way with my book club lol. I'd jump straight to summarizing the whole plot before anyone else could get a word in. Now I get it, letting people talk about their own discoveries makes discussions way more fun and less like a lecture.
