Can we talk about that weird before-and-after on Karen from accounting's Zoom profile?
So I've been on a late project with this lady from another branch, Karen. We do morning check-ins. Last Monday, her photo looked normal, like a plain headshot from 2018 maybe. Today I notice her skin is totally smooth, no wrinkles at all, and her eyes have this weird perfect sparkle. The background is the same fake bookshelf but it's a little off too. I zoomed in and her hair has these repeating strands that don't look right. Is this just a bad filter or is the company using AI-generated avatars for the video calls now? Anyone else notice this kind of shift?

Kinda weird you noticed that. I had something similar happen with a coworker on our team last month. One day her picture looked like her from a few years ago, then next week it was this airbrushed version that didn't even look like her anymore. I asked her about it and she said HR rolled out this new default profile pic thing that uses AI to clean up your photo. She didn't even know it had changed until I mentioned it. Might be worth just asking Karen about it directly, sometimes these updates just happen without telling anyone.

Brooke's got a point, I'd bet HR rolled out a quiet AI profile update without telling anyone. William, I get why you think it's overthinking, but changes like that stand out when you're staring at Zoom all day.
