Rant: I used to buy all my spices at the grocery store, now I only get them at the Asian market
Used to pay like $6 for a tiny jar of cumin at the regular store. Started going to the H Mart in Annandale last year. Same amount of cumin is $2 in a bag. But some friends say the quality isn't as good or it goes stale faster. What do you think, is the bulk spice section worth it or not?

Ever smell your old grocery store cumin? Mine lost its punch after a year. The bagged stuff is fine if you use it up.

My spice cabinet is a graveyard of half empty bags. I clearly have a problem with buying more than I need.
