My travel backpack strap snapped right at the airport in Bangkok

It happened right after I checked in for my flight home. I had to buy a cheap roll-aboard for $35 and check it, which blew my budget for souvenirs. Has anyone else had a bag fail mid-trip and found a good fix?

Ngl, that's the worst timing. A roll-aboard was smart for the flight, but for a real fix later, a shoe repair shop can work miracles. They've stitched my backpack straps back on for like ten bucks. Even in a foreign city, they usually have heavy-duty machines for that exact job. It's saved me from buying a whole new bag more than once.

Totally agree, saved my favorite duffel that way!

Yeah, that "heavy-duty machines" point is so true, they can fix almost anything.
