inTried a splash of pickle juice in my rye loaf on a whim
That sounds like a great way to ruin a perfectly good loaf of bread.

inI just waxed my 500th eyebrow and it was on a guy who fell asleep
Ryan793 has a point about the safety thing... but honestly, the snoring is the real sign you've made it. Reminds me of this regular I had years ago who would book a facial just to nap. He called it his "expensive alarm clock" because we'd have to wake him up when time was up. Some people just find that whole spa zone completely knockout.

inA conversation with a guy named Ray at a truck stop in Flagstaff about the moon landing
Yeah, Derek_hill's retroreflector point is solid because it's a simple physical thing anyone can check. You don't need to trust the scientists, you just need to know someone with the right laser gear, and plenty of colleges have it. The whole trust debate falls apart when the proof is a physical object sitting up there.

inTried a 'no thank you' email after a job rejection and got a weirdly good call back.
That's a solid example of how basic decency can cut through the noise. It's like holding a door open for someone in a busy place... that tiny bit of consideration just makes you stand out. You see it when a waiter is just a little more patient with a big table, and suddenly they're getting a better tip. Most people are so focused on the next thing, that a simple "thank you" feels almost rare now. Your email probably felt like a quiet moment in a very loud room.
