My dress return trick sparked a family argument about ethics
I returned a dress after wearing it to a wedding to get my money back. My sister says it's a clever budget hack, but my mom thinks it's cheating the store. Where do you stand on using return policies this way?

So you wore it to a full wedding, got it sweaty and dirty, then returned it. Where do you personally draw the line? Would you return a suit after a job interview or shoes you wore all day because they hurt your feet?

On drawing the line, I only return stuff with real flaws, not just for normal use.

Honestly, that wedding example is just wrong. Tbh, people returning stuff they clearly used up drives me nuts at the warehouse. You bought it, you used it, it's yours. Normal wear isn't a flaw. Returning shoes that hurt after a full day is just finding an excuse.

Yeah, I'd return shoes that hurt after a full day, that's a real fit issue. The wedding thing is just taking advantage though, right?
