My new $300 tent turned into a swimming pool during a surprise storm in the Smokies.

I woke up at 2 AM with water seeping through the floor, so I spent the rest of the night huddled on a rock with my sleeping bag, and now I'm debating if a high price tag always means better waterproofing or if I just got a bad unit.

That Smokies rain is no joke, but I mean, a $300 tent should handle a storm. Maybe you just got a bad one?

Know what you mean, @felixlane, but price doesn't always mean storm proof... that mountain rain finds a way in sometimes.
