Struggling with job ads that demand a degree for no reason

I've applied to roles where the tasks are simple, yet they want a four-year degree. It's frustrating because it blocks capable candidates from even getting an interview.

A degree shows you can stick with something hard and learn complex ideas, not just do easy tasks. It's about a different skill set, like deep research or critical analysis. Someone could be amazing at data modeling but never needed to learn a specific printer model.
