Found out my grandfather's old chisel was worth way more than I thought

I was cleaning out my dad's garage last Saturday and came across this beat up old chisel that had been my grandpa's. It looked like something you'd toss in the trash, rusty handle and all. I almost put it in the scrap bin but decided to look up the brand name on it instead. Turns out it's a vintage Stanley 750 from the 1930s, and I saw a similar one sell on eBay for over $400. I couldn't believe it, I had been using it as a paint scraper for years. Has anyone else ever found an old tool that turned out to be worth real money?

That ebay listing looked legit or was it one of those crazy overpriced ones that never sells though.

Was it the one with the $5000 price tag?

lol $5000 price tag yeah that was the one. I clicked on it thinking maybe it was some rare collectors edition with a signed photo or something. Turned out it was just a regular copy that someone threw a wild number on hoping some rich person with more money than sense would bite. My broke self could never afford that anyway, I cant even justify spending more than $20 on a movie. That listing will probably sit there for another 5 years at this rate.
