PSA: Wet wood will steal your time and ruin your work
I built a set of cabinets with lumber that wasn't fully dry. They looked great at first, but then every door started to stick. Fixing them meant taking everything apart, which took me a whole extra week. Now I wait for wood to dry properly, even if the job drags on. It's boring, but way better than redoing everything.

Man, this is such a common thing in life, not just in woodworking. I see it all the time when people rush through steps to save time, like with cooking or DIY projects. In the end, you always spend more time fixing the mess than if you'd just done it right the first time.

Ugh, tell me about it... what was the worst part, the warping or the cracking? I made a big farmhouse table once and didn't check the moisture in the legs... they shrank so much over the next month that the whole thing wobbled like a loose tooth. That sinking feeling when you see your hard work going wrong is just the worst. Now my wood sits in the shop for what feels like forever before I even look at it... boring but safe. Learned that lesson the hard way, just like you did.

That warping and cracking is just the worst feeling. Totally get why you wait forever now.
