Rewatched that Logan Paul apology from 2018 and totally changed my mind about it

I used to think that video was genuine because he seemed so broken up but I rewatched it last night with fresh eyes. He spent 2 minutes talking about suicide prevention resources but then circled back to his own pain like 4 separate times. The way he avoided saying the exact location or naming the forest felt like a lawyer told him to keep it vague. Has anyone else gone back to an old apology and caught stuff you missed the first time?

Actually the forest and location were well known at the time, it was Aokigahara in Japan, so people already knew exactly where it was lol. But yeah you're right that he kept dodging saying it by name, probably to avoid making it worse legally. The part that bugs me more looking back is how he framed missing the body as some kind of tragic mistake, when really he just shouldn't have been filming in there at all. That whole "I thought I could help" angle ages like milk when you watch it now, it's just constant deflection.

Oh man, the "I thought I could help" excuse is basically the Yelp review of bad decisions.

Yeah @ryan793, did he ever actually admit he shouldn't have been filming there?
