That Chloe apology video had me counting her blinks

I was watching Chloe's 8 minute apology for the whole influencer trip scandal. I tried her usual trick where she looks away and talks slowly. But I counted 4 times she blinked fast and looked down. That's the sign she's making it up as she goes. I think she was reading off a script behind the camera. Anyone else catch the weird eye movements?

You said "blinked fast and looked down" and that really stood out to me. I noticed something else though. Her hands were flat on the table and she pressed her fingertips into the wood every time she mentioned a specific dollar amount. It was like she was trying to ground herself in a lie. Plus her left eyebrow twitched exactly when she said "I take full responsibility" which is the dead giveaway because that kind of micro movement is almost impossible to fake intentionally. Did you catch the way she swallowed hard before naming the hotel brand? That was pure panic right there.

Wait, you caught the eyebrow twitch? I missed that completely. Honestly, @marybutler, I used to think reading body language was mostly just guessing and luck. But your breakdown of the fingertip thing and the swallowing before the hotel name is making me rethink that. The way you tied those tiny details together with the dollar amounts is pretty convincing. I'm gonna pay closer attention to that kind of stuff from now on.

Hang on though, let's be REAL for a second. I've watched those "lie detection" breakdowns online and half the time the "experts" can't even agree on what a twitch means. You're telling me a single eyebrow movement means she's definitely lying about taking responsibility? That's a HUGE stretch. People swallow before talking all the time, especially when they're nervous about being INTERVIEWED on video, not because they're hiding something. And pressing fingertips into a table? Could just be her trying to stay calm and collected, not a secret confession. Unless we have a baseline of how she acts when she's telling the TRUTH, all these little movements are just random body stuff that could mean a dozen different things. It's way too easy to see what you want to see after you've already decided someone's guilty.
