Fell for that 'celebrity detox tea' ad on Instagram and spent $90 on basically laxatives
I bought a 30 day supply of that tea a celeb was always pushing and just ended up in the bathroom all weekend with zero weight loss. Has anyone else tried one of those influencer products and just felt ripped off?

Honestly bro I feel your pain. I fell for the same hype last year with some "flat tummy" tea that was supposed to help me drop water weight before a beach trip. Spent like $75 on it and all I got was the worst stomach cramps of my life and a lighter wallet. Ngl it felt like I was just flushing money down the toilet, literally. These influencer products are such a scam.

Flushing money down the toilet" is way too accurate, my friend told me a similar story about some detox tea she bought from an influencer. She said it gave her the runs so bad she couldn't leave her bathroom for a whole day. Pretty sure that's not how actual detoxing is supposed to work.

Flushing money down the toilet" is putting it lightly. At least with a toilet you're getting rid of stuff you actually needed to flush. Your friend paid to have her insides power washed by some overpriced tea probably made from lawn clippings. I'm pretty sure if you walked into an ER and told them you were "detoxing" they'd just hand you a Gatorade and tell you to stop watching TikTok. Honestly, next time she wants to feel that kind of regret, she could just buy a used car off Facebook Marketplace for the same effect.
