Found a hidden gem coffee shop in Portland that changed my morning routine

I stopped into this tiny place called Press & Brew off Hawthorne last week. They had a single-origin Ethiopian bean that the owner roasted himself in a garage setup out back. The flavor was so clean and fruity I didn't even need sugar for the first time in years. Anyone else stumbled onto a spot like that where the roaster really knows their stuff?

My buddy raved about some spot called The Bunker in Seattle where the barista remembered his name and order after one visit. He said the single origin Kenyan pour over was like drinking a blueberry pie but in coffee form.

Oh man, that part about "blueberry pie but in coffee form" really got me. I used to think those fancy coffee descriptions were just people showing off, but your buddy's story makes me want to actually try it and see for myself. @daniel_cooper34, I gotta admit I was totally wrong about places like that being overhyped. The barista remembering someone's name and order after one visit is next level customer service, not just good coffee. That kind of personal touch is so rare these days, it makes a place special. Now I'm kinda jealous of your buddy's experience, honestly.

That personal touch is slowly disappearing from EVERYTHING these days.
