Just realized I wasted $80 on a fancy coffee bean subscription
Signed up for this roastery in Portland after all the hype online. First bag was okay but the second one arrived stale, and by the third month I was forcing myself to drink it. Who else got burned by a subscription deal that sounded too good?

Portland roasters are hit or miss honestly. I think you're supposed to let the beans rest for a few days after roasting before brewing them, but even then that's a lot of money for something that might not taste great.

That line about "letting the beans rest for a few days" really stuck with me too. I've wasted so much money on fresh roasts that tasted like grass because I didn't wait long enough. It's a tough pill to swallow when you're already paying premium prices for something that's supposed to be good from day one.
